I also worked at CTF for a short while as a manager in the medical dept. Disappointed by the medical staff ethics. I'm licking my wounds right now.....moved all that way up from San Diego for the position on a "new wave for ethical change"....

Right now I'm considering moving to Tucson for a new start, to work at the hospital. I do have 3 pets....have heard horror stories of the huge spiders, bark scorpions...anything for my dogs and i to worry about? I also love to sketch in charcoal/oil pastel and I write. Wish I could make a living designing clothes....but I would miss the emergency room.

Hi Cynthia, thanks for your comment. The health field is wide open here. Tucson has a population of 1 million people and at least 4 major hospitals. I had a hard time adjusting to the heat, dust and how spread out the city is. But there is a vibrant creative community, more so it seems than even the SF Bay Area to me. And the sunsets are just killer. I think your pets will be fine with just a little care. The desert is quite a different experience from California. I used to miss "green", then my eyes slowly adjusted to see the green that is here. I think you could do really well here. It is a different pilgrimage of the spirit.
